Arabic Source and Roman Transliteration

Arabic		وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَمَثُوبَةٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَّوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُون
Transliteration		Walaw annahum amanoo waittaqaw lamathoobatun min AAindi Allahi khayrun law kanoo yaAAlamoona
Transliteration-2		walaw annahum āmanū wa-ittaqaw lamathūbatun min ʿindi l-lahi khayrun law kānū yaʿlamūn
Word for Word Dr. Shehnaz Shaikh, Ms. Kauser Katri, and more		And if [that] they (had) believed and feared (Allah), surely (the) reward (of) from Allah (would have been) better, if they were (to) know.

Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad		And had they but believed and been conscious of Him, reward from God would indeed have brought them good-had they but known it
